Never used a drill? We want you to feel confident making your own handcrafted projects. Join us for a beginners woodworking workshop led by women. These sessions support similar experiences for children.

Want a bespoke workshop for your birthday, a girl guides group or in a community space? We're open to new ideas and offer workshops private and public workshops to suit your needs - get in touch.

Making an Ottoman at the Foodhall Workshop

If you've never used a drill, this workshop will introduce you to the basic functions of a drill. You'll learn to make a pilot hole and how to choose the right screw for the job.

You'll take home a handcrafted ottoman with hidden storage.

Please bring 2.5 meters of fabric to personalise your ottoman. If you have experience upholstering and want to add tufts, feel free to bring buttons and other embellishments along. 

The finished product will measure slightly larger than 50cm x 50cm and 30cm tall.
